This came out great! Such a perfect representation of our city. This is Baltimore’s anthem! It’s inclusive and real with a little tourism and just fun to watch; the way it moves into each scene.

Sitting in the creative brief, the words that kept getting repeated- real.
“We are real. We have real people here. Were not super fancy. We are the people that work at coffee shops, artists, students. We provide upscale affordable housing.”
To find the pulse of this film and the ideology of the brand, we needed to find a way to show the city in the way locals see it. Seek out those quirky things that make Baltimore special to it’s inhabitants.
The approach was one we learned in film school. Set out with a camera on your back and start exploring the city. Granted, we had a massive shot list, but who know if we were going to find what we wanted. It was aso much chance when looking through the lens. It’s a beautiful way to work that rarely happens in commercial work these days.
In the end, the way the edits flow, the energy… it really embodied the spirit of Baltimore.
